I am a Care Leaver, but also a qualified Social Worker. I now manage the same Leaving Care Team that looked after me when I was younger!
Since I was 18 I was a trustee with the charity A National Voice and now I’m a trustee with Coram Voice. My passion is helping to make positive changes for young people who are in or leaving care.
Our Care Our Say is really important to me. I’ve spent my whole career helping people with care experience get their voices heard. OCOS gives everyone, young and old, a chance to say what things are important to them and together our voices can be loud enough to make a real difference because being Care Experienced doesn’t end at 18, 21, or 25. Being Care Experienced stays with us through life and helps make us who we are.
